Arrival/departure

Your room is available from 3 p.m. on your day of arrival. Please vacate the room by 11 a.m. on your day of departure. For a small additional fee, a later departure time can be arranged with Reception. You may leave your luggage at the front desk.

Bathrobes

Bathrobes are available on request. Please contact Reception.

Bed linen

Your bed linen will be changed daily if you wish. Kindly inform the reception.

Bern Ticket

We offer our guests free travel in Berne – the Bern Ticket enables you to travel free of charge on public transport in zones 100 and 101 of the Libero network for the duration of your stay.

Also included on the Bern Ticket are the well-known Gurtenbahn and Marzilibahn funicular railways, the Mattelift to the viewing platform at Berne Cathedral and the journey to and from Bern Airport. 
Download the Bern Welcome App and activate the Bern Ticket with the reservation number on your keycard booklet.

Beverages

You are welcome to order drinks for your room. We are also more than happy to serve you at any time in the bistro.

Breakfast

Our delicious regional breakfast buffet is served in the bistro on the ground floor every day from 6.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. On Saturday as well as Sundays and public holidays, breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. If you require our continental breakfast before these times, please let us know in advance and we can arrange this for you.

Cash register

We will be happy to take special requests made in advance into consideration (e.g. billing addresses). We accept cash in Swiss francs, euros, US dollars and pound sterling (notes only), as well as credit cards.

Credit/debit cards

We accept: American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard, Visa, JCB, China UnionPay, PostFinance Card, Maestro.

Currency exchange

Smaller amounts in euros, US dollars and pounds sterling can be exchanged for Swiss francs at Reception. Various banks are also located close to the hotel. You will find an ATM in the Coop shopping centre.

Doctor

Should you need a doctor, please inform Reception.

“Do not disturb” sign

Please hang the sign outside your door. Please do not forget to remove the sign when leaving the room, otherwise we are not permitted to enter your room to clean it.

Eating and drinking

Meet at the bistro for a snack, coffee or a litte Apéro. Open from Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. until Berne store closing times. We are open later for our hotel guests! Would you like another glass of wine, a nightcap or a bite to eat?

Our Reception staff will be happy to give you individual recommendations and to reserve a table for you at one of our neighbouring restaurants.

Information about Berne and the Bernese Oberland is available at Reception.

Fire

In case of fire, press the Emergency button on your telephone immediately and report the fire. In the event of fire, an alarm will sound in your room. Please remain calm and follow the instructions given over the loudspeakers. The escape routes are shown on the door to your room and in the corridor. In the event of an evacuation, the assembly point is next to the fountain on the Neuengasse. Fire extinguishers are located on every floor. Do not use lifts in the event of fire or other hazardous situations.

Fitness

For your vitality and fitness we recommend the Update Fitness (free entry for our hotel guests). You will find it within 3 minutes walking distance in the Zeughaus/Marktgasse. The reception team will be happy to provide you with the necessary information and admission documents.

Internet

Wi-fi is available throughout the hotel free of charge. Please select the “PUBLIC-WIFI-HOTEL-SAVOY” network. Please provide your last name and your room number to gain access. If you have any queries, please contact Reception.

Internet corner

A laptop and printer are available in the lobby area for your use. Please contact Reception.

Ironing service

We have a limited number of ironing boards and irons for your use. Please contact Reception.

Laundry service

Please hand over your laundry to Reception by 8.30 a.m. to have it cleaned and returned the same day.

Luggage service

We will be happy to help you with your luggage on request.

Minibar

The bottles of mineral water are free of charge. You are welcome to order additional drinks for the minibar. Of course, we are also more than happy to serve you at any time in the bistro.

Non-smoking hotel

The entire hotel is a non-smoking zone. Smoking in rooms is not permitted. Violation of this rule will result in a CHF 200 cleaning bill.

Pharmacy

There is a pharmacy in the shopping centre next door.

Pillows/extra blankets

A wider range of extra pillows and blankets are available on request. Please contact Reception.

Power sockets

Room and bathroom: 230 V. Various electrical connections and adapters are integrated into the desk. More adapters are available from Reception.

Radio

The radio is integrated into the TV.

Reception

Reception is available around the clock. At night, you can open the hotel entrance with your keycard.

Safe/valuables

A safe is located in every room. It may be used free of charge. We do not accept any liability for valuables not stored in your safe. In all other respects, statutory or contractual liability principles under Swiss law apply.

Sewing Service

The reception can help you with should you need sewing service for your clothes.

Shoe cleaning

A shoe-cleaning machine is provided for you on the first floor. A polish sponge is also available in your room.

Please contact the switchboard for information, reservations and wake-up calls.

Telephone

To call another room: dial 31 and then the room number. You can find out your direct room number from Reception.

Telephone messages

If the messages light on your telephone is activated, you have a message. You can listen to your voicemail yourself on the telephone as follows: lift the receiver, press the messages button and follow the instructions.

Toiletries

Toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste or razors, are available from Reception.

Towels change

To protect the environment, if you want new hand or bath towels, kindly put the used ones on the floor.

TV

There is a multifunctional TV with SAT connection, radio, wake-up call function and hotel information in your room. A wide range of TV and radio stations are available. A programme overview for TV/radio is displayed on the screen. The connectivity panel with USB and HDMI connections enables you to transmit images and sound to the TV.

Umrella

You are welcome to pick up an umbrella directly at the reception desk.

Wake-up calls

A wake-up call function is built into the telephone. Please let Reception know when you would like to be woken up.
